FUSED: From Underground to Surface: Energy Provision and Distribution
Review of FUSED 2024
On November 25, 2024 the second FUSED: From Underground to Surface: Energy Provision and Distribution conference at Ruhr University Bochum took place. This event brought together a larger and more diverse group of participants than before, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for cross-institutional collaboration.
The program included three oral presentation sessions, a poster session and a Company Slam, which provided a valuable opportunity for local businesses to connect with young researchers.
We're thrilled about the positive feedback from attendees and companies, highlighting the event's value as a platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, and fostering synergies.

Review of FUSED 2023
On 30 November 2023, the first FUSED 'From Underground to Surface: Energy provision and Distribution' took place, organized by the Research Department "Subsurface Modeling and Engineering".
In the spirit of its predecessor CRUST, the event intended to bring together master students, PhD-students, and young post-docs working in the fields related to its title.
Going beyond CRUST, trans-institutional interaction was fostered by opening FUSED to all young energy-scientists of the Ruhr area: our motto is "Connect and interact!".
In addition to two keynotes and four sessions of oral presentations, the programme included a poster session and a concluding social gathering with ample opportunity for exchange.
